Foundation

Weeks 1-5

Build strong technical fundamentals and cover the basics of Paper-I subjects.

  • Read the official SSC JE syllabus and understand Paper-I and Paper-II requirements.
  • Select the technical stream according to your qualification: Civil & Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical.
  • Build strong fundamentals in core engineering subjects.
  • Start General Intelligence & Reasoning with basic concepts.
  • Begin General Awareness preparation with current affairs, history, geography, polity, economy, and science.
  • Start solving basic technical questions after completing each topic.
  • Create separate notebooks for formulas, concepts, and frequently repeated questions.

Core Technical Preparation

Weeks 6-10

Complete the major technical subjects and strengthen problem-solving ability.

  • Study technical subjects in a structured chapter-wise sequence.
  • Solve numerical and conceptual questions after every technical topic.
  • Start SSC JE previous year questions topic-wise.
  • Practise Reasoning regularly to improve speed and accuracy.
  • Revise General Awareness through short daily sessions.
  • Take weekly technical sectional tests.
  • Identify weak technical subjects and allocate additional study time to them.

Paper-I Mock Test Build-up

Weeks 11-14

Improve speed, accuracy, and Paper-I score.

  • Attempt one complete Paper-I mock every week.
  • Solve previous year Paper-I questions under timed conditions.
  • Analyse every mock and maintain a mistake tracker.
  • Practise General Engineering questions daily.
  • Revise General Awareness through short notes and current affairs.
  • Increase Reasoning practice and focus on frequently repeated question types.
  • Continue technical preparation for Paper-II alongside Paper-I mocks.

Paper-II Intensive Preparation

Weeks 15-17

Build advanced technical accuracy and prepare for the 300-mark technical paper.

  • Give maximum study time to the selected engineering discipline.
  • Solve technical previous year questions chapter-wise.
  • Practise numerical problems without relying excessively on shortcuts.
  • Revise engineering formulas and important concepts every day.
  • Attempt technical sectional tests under timed conditions.
  • Analyse mistakes and revise weak technical chapters.
  • Attempt complete Paper-II mocks toward the end of this phase.

Final Revision and Exam Readiness

Weeks 18-20

Stabilize performance across Paper-I and Paper-II.

  • Attempt two to three full-length mocks every week.
  • Revise technical formulas, concepts, and frequently repeated PYQs.
  • Revise Reasoning shortcuts and General Awareness notes.
  • Reattempt incorrect questions from previous mocks.
  • Practise Paper-I and Paper-II within their actual time limits.
  • Avoid starting major new topics during the final week.
  • Focus on revision, mock analysis, and accuracy.

Tips

Give the highest priority to the technical subject because it carries the largest share of Paper-I marks and all of Paper-II.
Do not completely postpone General Awareness and Reasoning until the final month.
Solve SSC JE previous year technical questions after completing every major chapter.
Prepare Paper-II alongside Paper-I instead of waiting until Paper-I is over.
Practise numerical problems regularly for technical subjects.
Use separate preparation strategies for Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical streams.
Analyse mocks by subject and topic rather than focusing only on the total score.
Build accuracy before increasing speed.
