Foundation

Weeks 1-3

Build basic concepts in all four subjects.

  • Read the official SSC MTS syllabus and understand the two-session exam pattern.
  • Complete basic Numerical and Mathematical Ability topics such as number system, HCF & LCM, percentage, ratio, average, profit and loss, and time and work.
  • Build basic Reasoning concepts including analogy, classification, series, coding-decoding, and direction sense.
  • Start English grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and reading practice.
  • Begin General Awareness with history, geography, polity, science, and current affairs.
  • Start basic physical preparation if applying for Havaldar.

Core Practice

Weeks 4-6

Convert concepts into exam-level question-solving ability.

  • Practice Mathematics and Reasoning questions every day.

Mock Test Build-up

Weeks 7-9

Improve speed, accuracy, and exam-time performance.

  • Attempt one full-length SSC MTS mock every week.
  • Practice Session-I and Session-II separately according to their time limits.
  • Analyse every mock and maintain a mistake tracker.
  • Solve previous year papers under timed conditions.
  • Focus particularly on English and General Awareness for Session-II.
  • Continue physical practice for Havaldar PET/PST candidates.

Revision and Exam Readiness

Weeks 10-12

Finalize revision and stabilize mock performance.

  • Attempt two to three full-length mocks every week.
  • Revise mathematical formulas and shortcut methods.
  • Revise reasoning concepts and frequently repeated question types.
  • Revise English grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
  • Revise static GK and current affairs notes.
  • Reattempt incorrect questions from previous mocks and PYQs.
  • Havaldar candidates should continue regular PET/PST practice.
  • Keep the final week focused on revision rather than new topics.

Tips

Build accuracy before trying to increase speed.
